The Yandex.News widget helps you keep up-to-date with the day's main events in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
When you click on a news headline, the full article will open in a web version of Yandex.News that has been specially adapted for Android.
The widget can be used in both compact (1x4) and full-screen (4x4) mode. In compact mode, it automatically scrolls through the news headlines, while full-screen mode lets you browse the news by a topic of your choice.
The news feed is updated 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and all the stories are provided by leading news agencies.

Get detailed weather forecasts on your phone with the Yandex.Weather app for Android.

Find out the current temperature, wind speed, pressure and humidity at a glance.
The background color and graphics also change depending on your local weather.
Open the app to get a detailed forecast for the day and an overview of the next nine days. Also the state of water in the background picture will help you assess the situation at a glance. Use the search feature to view the weather in a different town or city, while keeping your location as the default. Your default city can easily be changed in the settings menu.
The desktop widget comes in two sizes, 2x1 and 4x1. Its background also changes depending on the weather, for example, the colder it is outside the more the icon freezes up. If you want to leave your background as it is, select the transparent widget background option. You can change the level of transparency in the settings menu. You can also select how often weather information should be updated or manually install updates. The Yandex.Market app is your personal shopping assistant.
Find out comprehensive information on product specifications and whether or not the shop you're in is really offering you the best value for money. If you find a better deal elsewhere, you can call the store from directly within the app or see its location on the map.
Take a photo of a product barcode or enter the product name in the search bar to view a detailed product description including customer reviews and prices. You can call the store with the best offer directly or go to their site to order the item online. If you want to pick up the product in person, find out where the most convenient collection point is and use Yandex.Maps to find the quickest way there based on current traffic conditions.

The Yandex.Traffic widget shows overall road congestion and lets you monitor real-time traffic conditions in more than 60 towns and cities in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

You can quickly switch to Yandex.Maps from within the app.

You can also receive current traffic information for a optimal route (in Moscow and Ukraine only).

The widget is available in three sizes: 1x1, 1x2 and 2x2.

You can select your town and specify the information update frequency in the settings menu. You can also plot and find out traffic conditions for a optimal route in Moscow or anywhere in Ukraine (beta version).
