7Timer!, pronounced as "Tri-Timer", means "bell of clear sky" in Chinese. It is a series of meteorological forecast products. Most of the products base on a numeric weather model from NOAA/NCEP, called GFS, and aim on short-term (up to 16 days) weather forecast service for special purpose, for example, astronomical activities, or meteorological condition assessment. 7Timer! was first introduced in mid 2005 and has been revised for better fitting of public service operation in mid 2008. It's first designed as a weather forecast tool for astronomical purpose, as the author himself is a long-term astronomer and is always annoyed by fluky weather conditions.

기상장비 및 날씨솔루션개발 전문업체인 (주)지비엠아이엔씨에서는 2009년 12월 10일 ‘기상산업진흥법’이 개정시행 됨에 따라 ‘예보사업부’를 신설하여 기상청의 예보 및 실황, 미국.일본 기상사업자로부터 제공받는 다양한 기상데이터를 재가공 및 맞춤형 기상정보 서비스사업을 시작했습니다.
■ 웨더톡위젯이 추가되었습니다. 웨더톡을 다운로드 받으시면, 웨더톡위젯이 함께 다운로드 됩니다. 위젯의 하단 날씨아이콘 박스를 누르면 웨더톡의 날씨메뉴로, 시간옆의 톡이 얼굴을 누르면 톡메뉴로 넘어갑니다.
■ 톡>스마트팁 또는 스마트쿠폰을 누르시면, LGU+ 및 이베이옥션과 함께하는 날씨 변화에 연동되는 다양한 '스마트쿠폰' 또는 매일 100% 당첨 '옥션포인트'를 제공받으실 수 있습니다.

- 2010년 11월 아이폰에서 먼저 유료(0.99 $)로 오픈한 날씨SNS ‘웨더 톡(WeatherTalk)’은 현재 15만명의 고객이 이용하고 있으며, 고객이 위치한(GPS기반) 지역의 날씨에 대한 영상이나 연계된 글(여행음식점,패션,기타), 사진 등을 ‘톡(Talk)’에 올려서 여러 이용자들과 날씨정보를 기반으로 대화할 수 있는 공간입니다.
그리고, 태풍이나 폭설, 한파, 집중호우가 내렸을 경우 이용자들과 실시간으로 날씨정보에 대한 공유가 이루어짐으로써, ‘기상청’예보의 한계점을 해결해 나갈 수 있습니다. 가장 대표적인 기능은 GPS 좌표값을 활용한 실시간 "내위치날씨"와 "톡(Talk)" 입니다.
특히, “톡”은 아이폰, 안드로이드폰 등 모든 플랫폼(디바이스)에서 올라 온 ‘톡(Talk)’을 들을 공유할 수가 있어서 아이폰에서 올린 ‘웨더톡’에 안드로이드 계열의 ‘갤럭시S폰(삼성전자)’ 및 LG전자, 팬택, 모토롤라 핸드폰 등에서 댓글을 달고 서로서로 공유가 가능합니다. 또한, 2011년 1/4분기 에 ‘아이패드’ 및 ‘갤럭시탭’에서도 태블릿 버전의 ‘웨더톡’을 오픈할 예정이어서 각 플랫폼의 ‘웨더톡’ 가입자 수가 늘어남에 따라 빠르게 다양하고 많은 ‘정보(웨더톡)’ 공유가 가능할 것 입니다.
