PYKL3 Radar (pronounced Pickle Radar) is the premier radar and weather information application for Android devices.  View radar data, satellite imagery, and virtually any text product issued by the National Weather Service.  PYKL3 offers significant customization and options for the user and is a favorite among meteorologists, emergency managers, fire, police, chasers, and the general public.  View radar data in its RAW format, without removal of important data.  A detailed road network database is provided.  PYKL3 is designed to function well in bandwidth limited areas.  With an AllisonHouse.com subscription, PYKL3 Radar users may view up-to-the minute lightning data for situational awareness (Storm chaser or Storm hunter package required.)

It is recommended that users un-install any previous versions prior to upgrading to this version.

Note:  Some users report an error upon first time start-up related to the download of a file.  If this occurs, simply restart the program.  If you have further issues, please contact support at pykl3radar@att.net

PYKL3 Radar (pronounced Pickle Radar) is a vector based Level 3 radar viewing program aimed at meteorologists, weather enthusiasts, SKYWARN spotters, and emergency managers.  Users may view multiple tilts of reflectivity and velocity along with base spectrum width over a county/parish background map.  This evaluation version is limited to the Little Rock, AR radar. Monitors Met Office, Environment Agency and SEPA for weather and flood warnings. Sends notifications of new alerts and displays all current alerts.

The alert checker starts in the background, checks for alert updates then exits cleanly. The app is intentionally designed to run on minimal resources. This means you can have the confidence of all year round checks without worrying about battery consumption or data usage. Just set up your areas to monitor then leave it to do its job.
