Soft-keyboard with integrated camera bar-code scanner lets you scan wherever you can type.
This soft-keyboard scans and enters barcodes directly into input fields of arbitrary apps, batch scanning mode is supported. It reduces manual typing and eliminates copy and paste. A special key invokes the built-in or an external camera barcode scanner. The setup wizard makes it easy to install the app.
Scanned bar-codes are automatically entered into the current text field of the target app. English, German, French, Spanish, Swedish and Russian keyboard layouts are available, the keyboard layout is adjusted according to the system language of your Android.
The app can be configured to use target-application specific control keys for cursor movements or to modify the keystroke simulation mode (useful for browser or remote desktop applications / RDP).
SECURITY: This App does not require Internet or SMS permissions. Your data is safe - spying/phishing/keylogging is impossible.

[2013-08-10] A Google User: Tally Vickory This is an awesome app! I have been looking for years for this type of feature. I wanted to scan a barcode using remote desktop into a hosted windows app. I had it running in 5 minutes and it works GREAT!! Thank you and please let me know if you ever create an iPAD or Windows 8 version. |

[2013-06-16] A Google User: Works great You might have to install another bar code app if you can't get it to scan properly, code 39 for example doesn't scan properly. Install another app and set this to use that app and you're all set. Also, the keyboard itself is clunky. If it were skinned like HTC sense where long pressing the letter will give you the number or symbol I'd give it 5 stars. When I scan barcodes, I switch to this, scan, then switch back to the stock keyboard because it's just that annoying. |

[2013-05-20] A Google User: Worked on my last phone, not anymore I used to have this app on my HTC Incredible 4G and used it to scan barcodes into text fields for my job, upgraded to an HTC DNA and the barcode scanner uses such a small portion of the camera it's no longer viable to use for work... Depends on your device, definitely check the free version before buying and don't anticipate it to work with any new phone. |
