Soft-keyboard with integrated camera bar-code scanner lets you scan wherever you can type (free demo).
This soft-keyboard scans and enters barcodes directly into input fields of arbitrary apps, batch scanning mode is supported. It reduces manual typing and eliminates copy and paste. A special key invokes the built-in or an external camera barcode scanner. The setup wizard makes it easy to install the app.
Scanned bar-codes are automatically entered into the current text field of the target app. English, German, French, Spanish, Swedish and Russian keyboard layouts are available, the keyboard layout is adjusted according to the system language of your Android.
The app can be configured to use target-application specific control keys for cursor movements or to modify the keystroke simulation mode (useful for browser or remote desktop applications / RDP).
SECURITY: This App does not require Internet or SMS permissions. Your data is safe - spying/phishing/keylogging is impossible.

[2013-06-27] A Google User: Works well once you select another scanner App! I had issues with poor scan results when using my Samsung Note 2 but support suggested using another scanner App as the input device. I loaded Barcode Scanner (XZing Team) then selected this as the camera scanner in the Barcode Keyboard Demo App configuration. Now all my scans are accurate. I do miss the predictive text (spelling) of the normal Samsung Keyboard but I gain the required scanner function! Shame this is not built into Android OS as it is on Windows Phone (8). |

[2013-05-24] A Google User: Best keyboard I wasnt that interested in the barcode scanner which didn't work when I tried it. I really like the keyboard though but wish I could lock keyboard on landscape permanently |

[2013-04-15] A Google User: Faulty version1.4.1 This worked beautifully for years, but newest version adds extra 0 to the beginning and carriage returns within. Needs correcting. I wish this type of functionality was built into the web browsers. |

[2012-08-26] A Google User: Ok keyboard. Camera interface didn't work for me. Naming scheme is annoying. Is it free or is it a demo? It kept complaining about the camera and recommending device reboot. Not sure what the problem is. Other scanners work though. |

[2012-07-25] A Google User: Great customer support. Just download the application and had a small problem with ICS and the Keyboard layout... Support addressed the issue in just a few hours. Scan to Textbox feature works really well. Great app! |
