Handling:
Det var märkligt att ingenting verkade rört. Ingen hade slagit sönder något, rivit ur några hyllor, eller ens skitat ner på golvet. Det var som att stiga in på precis vilken som helst av ortens bensinmackar en afton frampå sena vårkanten.

Förutom det att föreståndaren låg död framför ölkylen.

Kriminalkommissarie Joakim Hill vid Helsingborgspolisen kunde aldrig riktigt vänja sig. Döden bekom honom illa. En bottenlös sorgsenhet grep honom var gång han konfronterades med den vilket avgjort inte var lätt att undvika i hans yrke.

De sista exemplaren av Kvällsposten hängde fortfarande i sitt ställ. Han reflekterade över att Aftonbladet var slutsålt, men inte Expressen. Det upphörde heller aldrig att förvåna honom vilka fåniga trivialiteter man lade märke till på en brottsplats.

Som om offret bara var en sekundär omständighet, och blodet som rann i tunna, rödglittrande rännilar över det svartspräckliga stengolvet var underordnat och betydelselöst.

"En chans för mycket" är den första delen i serien om kriminalkommissarie Joakim Hill.

Handling:
