Hangs every time after I beat final boss Overall, a great game, but for some reason, after I beat the final boss, my screen goes white and the game hangs. I cannot complete the game. Please fix this! I'm on stock RAZR MAXX running ICS. I'd try it on my Nexus 7, but I can't transr my save files (Nexus 7 isn't rooted).

Worth $7 This game runs very smoothly on my android the only problems I encounter is the menu text is a little too small and a bit confusing. since I wasn't a ff fan to begin with I thought what the hell I'll buy this and I was converted to a ff fan I'm totally gonna buy ff 3

Unacceptable! FF1 is classic, no doubt about it. But Square has done such a lazy job of porting this. The graphics are supposed to be old, but the resolution is just pain poor. Also, the game only uses maybe 60% of the screen on my Galaxy Note II. Black bars not only on the left and right, but also on the top and bottom! Game is essentially a small square in the center of my screen. That combined with the ridiculously low resolution and you have a laughably poor looking port. Fix resolution & display to 16:9 for 5 star!

Needs alot of work update I bought this in good faith of square enix. After buying ffIII from you I was sure you could easily port a 2d game after you did such a great job with 3, but it seems I was wrong, it foes WAY too fast. Update, it still runs way to fast but the frame rate seems to stay steady so a lil better..but stuff is still way our of sync...please fix thx

Can't download It almost hurts to say this but this port is terrible, its this kind of lackluster approach to finishing detail that has made the recent ff games so sketchy. The black border makes the screen too tiny to see, even on my quite large Xperia S. Controls are glitchy at best. It's a shame because Final Fantasy III was a great port.

Screen Size The game is great, I had it on my iPod a couple years ago and it was fantastic. The game runs fine on my DNA but the actual size of the game misiniscule. It's too small to actually see anything, so it would be great if you programmed it to expand to the size of your phone screen. 1 star until fixed.

Runs great Worked great on my droid x. Not so much on my s3. Magic won't cast in battles (game locks when the menu opens) deleted and reinstalled, now the same thing happens when I try and name my new characters. Very sloppy squeenix, please fix so I can restore the five star rating.

Poor quality port from iOS - Constant Crashes! The black border is annoying, but trying to adjust the tablet zoom options to "zoom-to-fit" crashed my game and it would never open again until I re-installed - which deleted the save file. Update: After my re-install it crashed again, and now it won't even start!

Sound seems to be off I noticed that there is a ocean wave sound loop that is constantly running, even in battle. It sounds like it is stuttering, but I haven't played any of the Final Fantasy games before 7. Other than that, the game seems to run smoothly. I am trying to encourage a Final Fantasy 7 port, hoping it would rival the glitched emulated versions. FF3 port is beautiful.

Won't start! I already started playing yesterday but now it won't turn on! I have a Droid Intuition, i turned off my USB debugging and my game still won't start! I just bought this yesterday and am very disappointed. I really wanted to play.

Crappy port to Android Sorry, but this is really a bad port. The play size is too small and leaves too much real estate available. It makes the chars and text extremely tiny and if you don't like to strain to see text, this isn't the game for you. Don't know much about the game because I am not interested in playing past the opening. No zoom makes it even worse.

Quick and dirty... The title says it all, Square Enix has brought nothing but shoddy ports to Android as of late... I honestly PREFER to play the games through emulator's, how sad is that? Huge black boarders, cant adjust control position or transparency... 5", 7“, 10“. I know its just greed that brings them here, otherwise I would beg Square Enix to stop ABUSING classics with crappy ports...

Beautiful Remake of a Classic It's a great remake of a classic. Higher res Graphics, Flashy magic, world map (long-press stats onscreen), hand-guitar-picked-sounding music, and an touch-menu in. I'm on Google Nexus 7. It dosen't seem laggy. I can play with no wi-fi. Playable area is about 75% screen (Bigger than PSP). Auto save/resume helps game resetting issue. Square still has the Midas Touch! But Thumbs WAY down for OL license check every 10 plays STILL. What with our classic when someday your license server is down???????

The nostalgia! It's in my eyes! Improvements over NES version: Beautiful 16-bit graphics; More coherent story including cut scenes; Save anywhere; Auto-target if your target dies; Full inventory system; Much easier to compare equipment; MP-based magic system; New items (ether, phoenix down, remedy, etc); "Run" button; "Defend" option in battle. Room for Improvement: Lacks bonus dungeons found in PSP/iOS versions; "Letterboxed" image does not fill the screen (black border all the way around); Included mild DRM (one-time connection check); $7 price is too high.

Sloppy port The game is fun, but this is a very sloppy port. Lots of lag and slowdown as well as black borders around the screen for no reason. The game doesn't handle multitasking very gracefully. Hitting the home button on my phone causes the game to restart at the title screen, etc. With some polish and bug fixes, this could be great.

Something is missing!! Yeah, simply everything is the same but some of the game variation is missing. After beating the four bosses, i notice that there's no other minigame behind it. I rated this a 4/5. If it was the bonus minigame, i would of give a 5/5. So it was fun playing it. Hopefuly, the next update should be the latest minigames.

Great game but it freezes at the end. Tons of fun!!! This game was well worth the money. The game runs super smooth on my phone (galaxy s3) and the graphics are more than acceptable for a cell phone game. My only issue is that the game freezes after I beat the final boss. It goes to a white screen every time the boss drops off the battle area. I would give the game five stars if this issue was fixed. Great game square.

License check and memory Only a douchebag company would implement a license check. I also don't like that the entire game is stored on my internal memory instead of my sd card like FF3. It eats up 45 mb instead of FF3's 3 mb. Considering that FF3 is a 150 mb game this can obviously be fixed. Fix these two major issues and I'll redownload the game. The screen should be fixed too but that's not a deal breaker for me.

Keep the updates coming. Runs great but it's unplayable on my Nexus 10, the game doesn't even fill a quarter of the screen. Same thing on my phone, it fills most of the screen but not all.

Great game, need issues addressed though... I would love to give this game 5 stars however there needs to be a fix for the screen size issue... Please please address this issue. Nexus 7 - 4.2.1 Great game, bit battery draining This is my favorite game of all time. Fond memories of playing on my NES as a kid, and emulators growing up. The overhaul to the graphics and play are a nice addition (some name changes, but mostly graphics overhaul). I had it randomly crash once, was closer to beginning of game. Since then smooth sailing, if rooted I suggest you use CPU control app and limit max CPU to bout 500MHz, otherwise it kills battery quickly. 4 stars due to single crash otherwise 5 stars.

Get The Resolution Right And otherwise good game, on an Android device, the game leaves a huge swath of the screen unused. This seems like a rookie mistake since most Android apps have automatically scaled to the resolution of whatever device it's on. I'm giving it 2 stars. I'd give it 5 since aside from not scaling the size, it looks great and plays great.

Bad Android App It's not multi-tasking like other apps. I mean when I'm playing FF and I decided to quickly check my email or messages, the game resets.. What if I was fighting a boss for hours and that happened?

Solid, but not perfect. A very good port that has worked well on my Nexus S. Occasional drops in framerate happen, but they're not affecting gameplay negatively. I do wonder why the bonus dungeons were excluded though? I haven't had a chance to test them before, was disappointed to see them left out. Great overall, otherwise!

Poor battery life The game is very good but the battery drain took my phone from a full charge to empty in 30 minutes. Even with the phone plugged the charger can't get a positive charge rating while playing the game. There is also no way to turn off the sound. At the very least the battery drain and excessive CPU draw need to be addressed.

A must for tablets/not for LG phone As a life-long final fantasy fan I am highlypl impressed. A lot of great improvements without taking away from the original in any way. Even worked out previous flaws excellently and changed up/added a few monsters. Once again never disappointed from square, truly a great gaming company. However when installsd on my phone it works but is to big for screen and can't even name character let alone play. Please fix

Great job Square Enix, now let's get a port of FFVII, FFVIII, and FFIX.

Great Game runs great on my Galaxy S III, I can get over the scaling as it's negligent imo. For those who weren't able to change their starting party's character classes, click on their class when you first start a new game as you would their names to rename them, it allowed me to change up my starting class.

Runs fast, too fast! Im using google's flagship tablet, the Nexus 7. Keeping in mind it has a quad core processor with the tegra 3 chip. Needless to say, my hardware is overkill for this game. However, the framerate is almost annoyingly fast. The graphics are pure beauty on the tegra, but there needs to be some speed settings considering the many different android devices.

Fix force close Great game/graphics but the force close every 10-20 minutes really takes the fun out of an RPG. They're repetitive enough without having to keep doing the same stuff over and over b/c it closes automatically. That's a pretty expensive game for a issue like this. I could look past it if it only cost $0.99

You've GOT to be kidding me! So I pull into a foreign country and decide to download this game for the long 2 month journey back home with no internet. Everything is working fine, and I'm playing to my heart's content. But low and behold, goddamn license check pops in and tells me I can no longer play the game that I PAID for! WTF is that?! I made the concious decision not to download and install the illegal copy and this is how I'm rewarded. Now I've got a month left until I get back home, and I can't play the game (again, that I PAID for) till then. This is B.S. Squaresoft. Let me give you a free lesson. People will pirate this game...forever. Nothing you do can stop it. Live with it. Don't encourage it by screwing over your paying customers just because there's no friggin Wi-Fi around for the game to check into with the mother-ship. Now I'm half tempted to go and get the cracked version game that doesn't pull this crap when I'm halfway through the game. It's simple, easy to install, and doesn't f--- with you. Don't drive your customers away idiots. Good game but your licensing crap ruins everything. Save yourselves the heartache and get the cracked version.
