Great Game, just not working I love the game and have played it before for android and super Nintendo back in the day but after purchasing this app it does not install. It says package file is invalid. I don't want a refund I just want to play my r-type :-(

Bad controls Very unresponsive controls on a S3, can work fine one second and be unresponsive the next, for this kind of game is unacceptable, cannot do any fine movement to hit small targets. Also the description mentions 3 control methods but can only find 2. Have no problems with similar games.

Great game, not suited to touch controls Classic game from a previous generation. A generation which relied on joysticks and physical buttons to bash. Touchscreen controls make it unplayable. They are simply not accurate enough. They also result in fingers covering part of the screen obscuring obstacles, bullets, etc. Give it a miss unless you have external controls, but then what's the point in having it on a handheld device?

Controls are terrible Fingers cover the screen and make it too difficult to play. Please add support for keyboard or mouse. Also, please allow simultaneous usage of s-pen and touch so we can move the ship with s-pen and press buttons with touch.

Great & bad but still glad I bought it I found it impossible to play on a small screen -HTC Desire, but much better on a big tablet - Nexus 10. Controls aren't perfect, there's so much going on your fingers get in the way of the screen. The game itself is great, difficult & addictive as always & original graphics brings back the memories. I don't blame the developers for the controls, I think it's just a game that requires super accurate control more suitable for a control pad rather than touch screen.

Loved it then and love it now When I saw this come to Android, I was pretty excited. The game is just like the original and is fun but is challenging. The only problem I see is sometimes the controls make the ship jump to a different position on the screen every now and then.

This is great fun and a very solid port. I love the new "arcade"-style control layout. My only criticism is that it is not optimized for hi-res sceens: the control D-pad is too tiny on the Nexus 4 screen to be useful. Needs customizable control layout, then it will be 5 stars.

Coin-op classic for mobile! Translation of great coin-op game for mobile. Game runs well on HTC One. Game plays well and appears true to original (which I assume it is and basically running under some kind of emulator). Update: Thanks to developers for update to optimize touch controls for HD rez phones. :-) Dev's are very responsive to issues and fixing them quickly. One more suggestion: adjustable by slider screen control opacity.
