Requirements:

• phone or tablet with Android 1.6 to 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
• internet connectivity (flat rate recommended)

Requested permissions:

• 'Your location', so Öffi can show nearby stations and navigate you from your current location
• 'Network communication', because Öffi needs to query information services for stations and departures
• 'Your personal information', so Öffi can route you to your contacts or location from a calendar event, store a connection in your calendar or e-mail it to your friends

Other than that, Öffi will not use your private data.

Very clear results Once you sort out which of the various interfaces to use for a task the result are presented in a clear and concise manner. Seems to even work for busses here when the at stop indicators say their service is down.

. From 3 stars down to 1. This app is unreliable. Several stations appear more than one time, all have the exact same name. But all have very different lines and destinations. Which one to add to the favorites?? Which favorites have to be checked then? All??? Also when the app starts it first refreshes the last displayed stations. Then it checks for near stations and refreshes them. Why not check for near stations FIRST, instead of wasting data traffic?? This happens EVERY time. Learn to program, man!

eindrücklich! impressive how good and fast öffi is! much better than the proprietary apps by many prividers i tested.. sbb in switzerland or db in germany... öffi is better and faster than both! great job! keep it up! actually i got a crash when checked for a transnetwork connection - report submitted - but its maybe too big challange for even such a good app. i was checking connection suhr switzerland to rovanievi finland on a specific date.
