Galaxy S4 tiny controls Galaxy S4 screen resolution breaks this app. All of the controls are tiny on the screen. Looks/works fine on a Galaxy Nexus.

A few simple steps could make the app better It works and does the job,but... It lock the sceen in one position, the sliders are really short and don't adjust to screen, the frequency steps could be smaller, especially for lower area.

Does what it says on the tin App functions just fine. It's a bit limited, though. I would appreciate more info like reference benchmarks (eg: middle C), or some sort of visualisation of the signal being generated (eg: spectral analysis or waveform).

LAB CHECK AND RESULTS DONE WITH MY TEK 200MHz OSCILLOSCOPE, WITH A 100 OHM LOAD ON PHONE OUTS... I AM USING A NEXUS7 32G TABLET. 1. LOVE THE SIMPLICITY. 2. SINE WAVE VERY JITTERY, ESPECIALLY AT HIGH FREQS. 3. NOISES SEEM FINE... Good minimalistic approach, guys, but check out FuncGen (also free). Beats em all. And then, you can get AudioTool, but you pay... Probably good on phones to just generate pink noise into systems...or bother your friends. Keep up the work guys, can be better for us pros.

Great for studying I use this when studying in places with loud or annoying music. Put some headphones in, hit "pink noise". Works great. Only annoyance is that it turns your volume all the way up. Would be nice if on leaving the app, it reset your volume to what it was previously.

So So The sine wave is semi accurate, plenty good for audio testing. But, the levels are not accurate. When hooked up to an oscope on my s3, -10db 1 khz signal only produced 150 mV pk when it should be 447 mV pk. This will undoubtedly differ with different phones, but an actual db reading shouldnt be used if it isnt accurate.

Useless, but fun Likely useless, but fun. Generates the sounds in real time. Maybe it can even be useful. Maybe you can attract - or scare away - your dog with the very high pitch sound it emits. Pink noise can be good for sleeping. Good toy.

My favorite oscillator. I have a problem with the UI of most other tone generators. This one is fast and simple, and allows me to scroll through frequencies at the right speed so I can zero in at what I'm looking for.

Accurate Plugged in the the bnc from the phone to the oscilloscope, got a pretty accurate frequency. Though doesn't really work for low frequency, phone hardware limitations.

Background Please The pink noise is great for setting levels. Helps get all stage monitors set to the same volume. Wish it didn't stop when back light goes off.

Nice simple audio generator Works well especially when combined with Audalyzer spectrum analyzer for a quick room EQ. I haven't examined the sine wave others have complained about, but the pink and white noice seem quite accurate. Does not allow move to SD card (boo! fix that please!) and sound cuts out when device sleeps, but if you are using Audalyzer to EQ the room, it has a setting to keep it awake so no big problem there. It allows a tone of 20-20k, it would be nice if the upper limit was 22k. I would love to see a sweep added
