!! This is an "upgrade" / "license file" for the normal Chainfire3D program, you must already have the free version installed or nothing will happen !!

Take control over your GPU!

Chainfire3D is an intermediary OpenGL driver. What does that mean? It means that Chainfire3D sits between your apps and the graphics drivers, and can intercept and/or change commands between the two. It has some built-in functions, and can be further extended with plugins to provide extra functionality.

!! Android 2.1 and newer. Now available for Honeycomb - but still a big risk there !!

!! Chainfire3D is for 1ghz+ devices only !!

!! ROOT is required for this program, as well as a writable /system partition. S-OFF is also required on HTC devices !!

Features include reducing texture size and quality to reduce memory use and potentially increase game performance, as well as increasing memory use potentially increase performance.

If you also install the (experimental) EGL driver, AND your GPU supports it, AND you have the Pro version, you can enable 4xMSAA or 16xMSAA on a per-app bases. This can drastically improve image quality!

Many users are running Chainfire3D on devices not listed here - it's likely to work on all modern devices. So far nobody has reported a failed install, so that's good. Doesn't mean problems can't happen.

!! There is some risk involved installing the driver. Your device may not boot. If you have CWM, it would be prudent to create a backup before installing !!

Ruined my phone I installed this from the Play store and now my Galaxy S3 is stuck in a boot loop. No instructions online on how to fix this. I cannot boot in to CWM recovery mode for some reason. Utterly shocked that an app with 4.5 out of 5, can destroy my phone and yet provide no documentation on how to fix it.

It sounds awesome... I bought it and tried to use it on a jellybean rom and it wouldn't boot. Restoring a backup and trying again used up my refund window. I don't really want a refund, but a jellybean update would be nice so we can use this on CM10. It's annoying that my brand new Galaxy S3 isn't "good enough" to play most of gameloft's games.

Please update This made a big difference on Gingerbread, not so much on ICS. I have been unable to get anti-aliasing working on any ICS ROM/kernel on my Fascinate or S2. It installs, but apparently does not do much. Great when it works. Due to a complete lack of response by the dev, I am reducing this to one star. Update the app so MSAA works with ICS (JB would be nice) and I'll bump it back to 5 stars.

Works like a charm...If U can find the plugins Works like a charm. Now I'm able to play Galaxy On Fire 2 on my Galaxy S2 i777 with the NVIDIA plugin. My only complaint is that the plugins aren't provided nor is a link to download them. You have to search for them, though not very hard to find but just a little inconvenient. Works FLAWLESSLY with VERIZON SGS3!!!!! This app works great with my Verizon Samsung Galaxy SIII (S3). I even installed the experimental drivers when asked before installing CF. PS1 games on galaxy tab 2 7.0 with opengl! Finally i can use opengl with my ps1 games. It also makes some apps run smoother like shadowgun which already runs well! I also got gta 3 running with high quality graphics at 76% resolution!!!

It doesn't make available the titles I expect and also it seems to clear my old purchases and makes any previously purchased app available to buy again. Really... The so-called "Beta" EGL driver advanced settings such as MSAA never worked on my Nexus S even with rooted stock Gingerbread. This driver was only really promising on my device for a month after I bought it. Then later none of the newer features were supported. I only used this for night mode until I upgraded to ICS. So far there is no ICS support.
