1.0.2: Fix more FC bugs.
As the name suggest, this app will try to lower the environment noise by generating a phase-inverted wave of the noise. Due to a delay of sampling and playing(no realtime sound api in android), user will need to change the phase and amplitude manually to get the best effect.

could work if you made some changes as it is it doesn't work. If you had a series of samples instead of it trying to block out the real world noise I think it would work alot better. Plus after a few minutes of fiddling it stopped sampling. Get things like white noise, pink noise, ac and airplanes in a loop and let us adjust the phases of those and you got something that would really work. Real world sampling would never work as an app. It only works on bose because its instantaneous and built into the headphone. I might add it doesn't work all the well. You are on to something but this is the wrong approach.

Doesn't work on HTC one. There is a delay so the sound cancellation effest doesn't work.

I wish it worked The big problem I found is that it was too slow inverting the sounds. All it really did was create a echo that was usually louder than the source. It might work on some constiant noises but the ones I tested (airplane, bus, fan, and a/c) it just made it worse. If the app could process the sounds as fast as the mic is picking them up it might work. There is also a clicking noise that starts from time to time. Thought it was from me tapping the screen at first but it happened other times too.

Great idea hamstrung by android Android just can't process and send the signal fast enough... About a half second delay between the noise and the inverted signal, which sadly makes this app utterly useless. The concept is there though..!

Beware Creates a high pitch sound sometimes while using the sliders which can startle you. Kudos to the developer for the idea. However does not work due to delays in sound processing - hardware / OS dependency.

Not effective There is about a 1 second delay, making it useless. Would work only if the desired sound is also delayed by the exact same amount and the phase shift is 180 degrees.

Good idea but doesn’t work Noise Canceller app: I would pay if the app works. It replays the conversation as an echo. It doesn't cancel. the background noise, as I hope for. The developer also mistakes phase shifting with delay adjustment. Adjusting the phase of the output does nothing to the delay. I hope he would let the app sample background noise, and allow delay, phase, and volume adjustment of thr output. I would like to use this to reduce driving noise in a car someday. Thanks.

Does not even come close to working When you want to try to cancel out a sound wave you want it to play the sound right away but this app has about a 2 second delay and not only do you hear the noise you hear it twice. The app also creates it's own white noise.

It does reduce noise should be developed It works to reduce engine sounds, etc. The delay is a bit of a problem. Right now, it seems to amplify conversations from across a train more than it quiets the noise.

Good idea Due to android limitations cause this app cannot generate the invert wave phase at the same time of noise. Thus, it will playback noise sound repeatedly rather than cancel it out. Some improvements would be much appreciate.

Works as intended Noise cancelers only work on ambient noise (i.e. a constant noise like a fan noise, motor humming, airplane engine, etc)...there is NO device that will cancel random noises fast enough to provide feedback to keep you from hearing them. Everyone giving this software bad reviews doesn't understand what noise cancellation is supposed to do. They are expecting something that is not physically possible.

Despite the reviews... I tried it anyway, thinking it would help with the noisy bugs in the woods, no go, just made even more noise, I agree with others, it might work on repetitive sounds, if you could adjust the delay to match the cycle.

FYI Noise cancellation is only effective with constant sounds(I.e, car engine at hey speed,fan). Speech or constantly changing sounds won't work even with the best sound cancellation equipment. There is simply too much processing time required for real world applications.

Good idea. I hope delay could be reduced on new gen devices, since the app was launched long time ago. Anyway repetitive sounds could be cencelled by increasing the delay, but need delay control for that. At the moment good for listening behind door conversations.
