E.F. Cook started studies for a ceiling mounted air circulating fan in 1994 that would eliminate cold air drop down from the office air conditioning ducts. After a long series of analysis and experiments, the DiskFan® was built and received a basic patent in 2001. The DiskFan® incorporating an attractive light fixture was made available in 2008 from the new web site.
