good app Good app. Only issue is it never saves my settings. Everytime I use it I see the same pop up messages and my keyboard pops up despite previously changing the setting. The pop up messages are *o.k.*, but I HATE the pop up keyboard. Still, even though that's a bit annoying, this is the best dictionary in terms of content and search.options (which is what counts). Still some bugs, but excellent work.

Helped me learn a lot, thanks! As the title says, it really helped me learning a lot. Great application so far. However, I think there's still a place to improve in terms of the look of the application.

Simple It's great as a simple dictionary, but anyone looking for serious studying need to look elsewhere. I've used this app for a long while and it's fast, responsive and works good. I miss an offline mode and a light theme setting, however.

BAKA Idiotic. An English interface app for learning kanji yet the TTS doesn't pronounce the kanji;. it pronounces the English definition. Are the developers daft, or just high? once again update did not fix the tts . uninstalling.

Great little dictionary Love the handwriting recognition, but why is there no audio reading for the japanese words but there is for the English definitions? What is the point of having English definitions read out loud? I also wish it came with korean to japanese direct translation.

Meh... I'm guessing the only reason this app has gotten such good reviews is because none of the raters have used Kotoba for iOS. It's much cleaner-looking, easier to use, and produces better results based on searches. What gives!? I'm forced to carry my Android phone and iPod Touch around with me daily on the job in Japan. Plenty of room for improvement and I'm really hoping it happens soon.

one REALLY ANNOYING BUG, please fix! This app is amazung. I use it every day as I live in Japan. But, ONE bug that youve had ever since the beginning , is, it is impossible to jump from あ section where you write words, to the 文 example sentence section. The keyboard.does NOT come.up. I have to.click on the middle section, 漢 before going to the next section. This is a really irritating bug, please fix. Other than that, no complaints. That is the only reason. I give this 3 out of 5. If it is fixed I will gladly give it a 5.

problem with display on old htcs excellent app. however on text translation, english meanings and some of japanese gets cut off on old htc models because of screen resolution. maybe introduce a scroll function?

Good. I like it, unfortunately the recommended TTS app is not available in the United States market - banned from being downloaded by in the US. Short-sighted developers who think only people in Japan would want something Japanese... But that's not under the control of WWWJDIC's developer, I just wish he'd have recommended something that could actually be downloaded by those who need an English-Japanese dictionary.

Now all I need is my tablet for everything and I can use my electronic dictionary if this app lets me down because that also has handwritten kanji with a stylus.

THE ULTIMATE By far the best Japanese dictionary on Android. Easily comparable to my favorite on the web which is popjisyo. ;)
