Great app It stores the offline maps in your memory card and you get to use between Open Street Maps. Pretty easy to use. If you are not happy with the maps, well log in Open Street Maps using your computer and improve the maps and save them. Very useful it already has several restaurants, bars, guest houses hotels in, some minor things missing, but if we all work and improve the Open Street Maps this app has certainly the potential to become a 5 star app.

Great with suggestions Is there a reason that you don't have satellite view caching? Maybe legal restrictions? Having that overlayed with the map data would be so helpful! Especially for hiking while traveling. Do you have plans to allow caching of Google personal "my maps" data? Having that overlay on the cached maps would also be huge for traveling with no cell service. If you did add the "Google my maps" data, would you be able to set a caching option to retrieve from a radius of each map point, instead of the screen region? Would it be possible to have an option to cache a certain level of terrain data, separate from caching the road data in the same region? It seems to me that the maps stop downloading when my device screen turns off, or if I switch into another app. Are you able to set give us the option to allow it to be running as a background service? Thank you! I used this map to travel skill over Europe without a cell connection for directions. It is a life saver!

Useless app with a lot of advertisements This app is total trash. Displays names of countries in weird arabic/persian script in addition to english names. The maps are very slow and poor search engine.

Brilliant I don't need gps that much, preferring to navigate myself, so this is just what I need. All the foreign maps I need without the data charges. Its a shame you can't turn off cacheing without having to go in to settings. It's also annoying that when gps is on and you are studying a map that it skips back to your current position when you turn your phone through 90 degrees. But for a free app is brilliant.

Awesome! This app is fantastic! Pre plot your course, close the app, and dont mess with anything and you'll have an instant map when you want to, routes and everything! I use it when traveling across country: a quick look at my map can tell me where i am. Scroll on my route i loaded earlier, and i can see how much i have to go. Yeah it wont load when i have shotty signal, but c'mon, its a cell phone. Wonderful app!

Nice details but huge Took 48 hours and 4 gigas to download Germany to street name level ( 16-17). With maps with me it's 1hour and much smaller. Good only if your sd card is over 32g.

Klunky Klunky and slow the way it loads postage stamp sections. And worst of all the labels are too small to read on my Galaxy Nexus. True it has a 2x mag feature which helps but it takes three clicks to start it and it often turns itself off

Very convenient! Very convenient and reliable app! Caching for offline mode is also very simple to figure out. 5 stars for just these three things! But like with virtually any app there are some flaws: 1. You have to be careful with cache level because it can take forever to cache a small country to level 17. Some warning or at least a way to cancel caching would be very nice to have. 2. Also, it would be nice if it reused cached data when re-caching an area that is just a little off from what is already cached. Right now it just reloads the entire area when I press Cache button. 3. One more flaw is storing cache data: The data itself is relatively small size, but it is all stored in individual image files, and there are thousands of them, so because of segment size it is pretty much killing the space on my external storage card. I don't know if this is possible, but it would be much nicer if data was stored in one file as a vector instead of image. I hope this is helpful!

Good app Being able to download a city before you go is great. Ever try to use a data connection roaming in China? Last time I went to Shanghai I downloaded the entire city before I left. Little advice, make sure you have a big sd card. Maps can use lots of space.
