Explanation of permissions:

Location: for the compass that shows you where a capital city is and how far away it is.

Internet: get Flickr pictures and show advertisements

Network state: For advertisements.

Phone state and identity: advertisements networks require this permission, we don't use it ourselves.

There is always the payed version for people who don't feel comfortable with the Phone state permission.

Not sure of the accuracy of these facts. Many facts in this app seem to be inaccurate i.e. the USA and UK are stated to be in a better position in terms of GDP and dept than they really are. Plus the oil production ranking for some countries are depatable and inaccurate. Some good info on here but wouldn't believe all it states.
