Overall a good app Overall it is a good app. The only thing that is missing is password protected uninstall. I hope developers will get that sorted soon.

Do not buy it, only one device license I purchased the app, and install it on YP-G70 Samsung 5.0 Player, the app detects it as a tablet, and then I tried to install it on Galaxy SII phone, guest what? You pay for the app for one device; you can not install it in multiple devices. It gives you a choice to enter a key, guess what? You do not receive a key in your account. That makes this app extremely expensive. Stay away from it; do not make the same mistake as I did.

Requires Texting I know i am probably the odd one out here but I find it rather annoying that an app requires authentication via sms text, No other way to verify that it is your number, Why would they even require you to verify your number to use such an app.

Works great! After I upgrading to 2.0, the app is simply awesome! It has a 360 degree security. However the app missed out on that extra star because: 1. Not a pleasing UI. 2. Password is number only- can be cracked using brute force, but brute force is a time consuming process, anyways. Overall, the app is beautiful, and the next time I forget my phone at my friend's place, I need not worry that he goes through my texts or media. All I have to do is send a lock command from my mom's phone :-)

Protects the identity of the thief not your phone When phone is stolen, it no longer sends an SMS to your Buddy List and the notification email no longer gives the number of the SIM the thief has inserted because under EU Privacy law, they have to protect the identity of the thief. Besides this rediculous interpretation of the EU Law, my biggest issue is that I was not told that the product could no longer do the job I bought it for. This is an en extract for McAfee Tier 2 support; We would like to inform you to comply with Legal requirements for EU privacy laws (Privacy enforcement) which are applicable to all EU countries + Switzerland + Australia we have to make the required changes with the new build release (2.0) of McAfee mobile security. To abide by EU privacy laws following changes were absolute necessary: 1. Buddy SMS for SIM change is not sent 2. Email notifications for SIM change will not disclose the new number 3. Phone number is not shown on the web 4. Location notification send with Locate command 5. Lock on SIM Change is on and is enforced (user cannot change) 6. New data added after SIM is changed cannot be backed up, until device is unlocked

Foreman of Programming and Networking at LWM No complaints with the program but I have complaints with the security. Your security team and programmers should of done this. Weak, used one form of security to download the program email password. Also use another form of security to use the software. Pin number, any brute force attack can hack or crack that. I can figure out the pin number combinations with my own two fingers. Also don't sale my number to sale reps. Not saying you did. Last add a form of security for to many fail login attempts.

After uninstall, the app came back After updated my Xperia, the app came with the update automatically. I suddenly unstalled the app with no problem. But when I turned off my phone at night and turned on in the morning, the app came back installed itself. Still cannot solve the problem. 0 star for this product.

Each time it has taken days and cost me a lot of telephone time to resolve; talking to people who quite frankly don't deserve our custom.

Application is good but these application are useless until they provide true thief protection, because remote access etc is useless cuz thiefs always remove SIM from phone after they snatch or thief, so all protection will go to hell..., add option if phone sim is changed it asked for password if 3 times password entered wrong, it must wife out all data gallery, contacts, messages, history, and so on..., after that it display the thief message on screen. Thats the real protection of our data.. atleast is will safe to go in bad hands...

installed fine on samsung exhibit II You should take a quick trip to the Mcafee website before installing it to make sure it works with your device. They have a list of all the smartphones it should work on. I feel alot better with having a good antivirus program on my new smartphone, especially when downloading apps. Tip for installing: after you type in the "buddies" you want to notify if the phone is ever lost/stolen, SCROLL DOWN to get to the next step in the install. I sat there a while thinking it would go to another screen, but the next step was just lower down on the same screen. Other than that, it installed just fine. You can also lock the phone (unlocks with a pin number) anytime you want. It scans everything on the phone, and also updates virus definitions whenever needed. And the Site Advisor that comes with it is very useful when I go to websites. It actually will redirect you away from a dangerous website, but still gives you the opportunity to go there if you really want to. If you ever want to uninstall it, be sure to read the info at the very bottom of the overview - there are a few more steps needed.

Best android security suite. I've always ben a fan of mcafee. B4 u give it a bad review, a few tips from a tech. To uninstall you mus go into security sttins and revoke the admin privlages. This app tracks sim crard. On cdma pnones its feature can be turned off in settings. Also on cdma it tracks NAM and PRL so if someone re-actvates your phone it will lock you out.

Disappointing Service and Customer Service Mcafee Mobile Security deserves 0 stars. This product and service is a clear example where this company is going. Let's start with my first impressions. 1) Installation of the trial was easy, but when I upgraded to the full version I have to go to their website on my computer than on my phone to register. Not very convenient for a "smart app". 2) Once I setup my full version there is a lag online with Mcafee with my registration status saying "Trial Version Over Please Renew", this status was not taken cared off unless I complained and I only got an automated message acknowledging receipt of the complaint. 3) Even with auto renewal settings turned off my credit card info is still online and available to Mcafee, I asked Mcafee support why I can't delete my credit card info and I am still waiting for a response. Mcafee I hope you are reading this. This is a recipe for disaster. When the markets open tomorrow I'm going to look into your company

Uninstall McAfee I have seen in these reviews that many people are complaining that they are not able to uninstall this app. It is because the app is registered as a Device Administrator. Just go to Android settings and then Location and Security and then Device Administrator. Uncheck McAfee and then try to uninstall. You should remember the 6-digit pin code that you had set while installing the app otherwise it will end up locking your phone.

Awesome security suite product Smartphones contain a lot of personal data, they cost a lot and nobody wants to lose them or get it stolen. This application covers it all. The cloud based backup, the automated device tracking and location on map are awesome. Don't mind the "cannot install" remarks people write in their reviews, rtfm, its a protection you can undo so you can uninstall it of you choose to do so. I very much recommend this application on Android, it works brilliantly !
