Pure news widget (scrollable) (v. 1.3.9)

Pure news widget is a scrollable widget for news reading (Rss/Atom) compatible with Feedly and your own RSS list (OPML) .

Note : since Google service ends (July 1rst), Pure news widget will sync with Feedly service.

WARNING:
This is a scrollable widget which REQUIRE Android 3.x/4.x device or ADW Launcher, Launcher Pro, LiveHome, Go Launcher Ex. If you don't use a Launcher supporting scrollable widgets, it won't work.

Features:
- Use phone credentials to login to Google Reader. No password (for Android > 2.0).
- Connected to Google reader to retrieve your prefered news, or get your feeds from your own RSS feed list in text format (OPML)
- Scrollable widget with most alternative launchers like ADW, LiveHome, Go Launcher, LauncherPro or Android 3.x/4.x
- Click on a news title to open the full story in the browser or in internal viewer (works in offline mode too !)
- Show news thumbnails
- Multiples skins (including fully transparent) and widgets sizes to make a fancy widget
- Lot of options to customize rendering
- Can use Google Mobilizer to reduce used bandwidth when reading full article
- Support Google Reader mark as read
- Optional local cache of articles
- Can restrict sync to Wifi connection
- Support multi-widget with as many feeds as you want
- Complete support of Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS / Android 4.x)

A+++ developer support UPDATE: Just wanted to say that I'm still extremely happy with the widget and the developer's continued support with updates to ensure that the users had a smooth transition to Feedly. I still highly recommend it and is probably my most long used, purchased app. ---- Best news widget by far. The beta convinced me to make my first app purchase ever. The internal viewer could use an option to open in Internet browser.

Nice but ... This is a nice widget, but really needs some refining. Many times the settings do not stay applied after saving. It's also a real pain to have to completely configure the widget every time I want to re-add one to my screen. It should retain my feed source info so I don't have to re-login every time ... So, for now I'm looking elsewhere for a RSS widget.

Excellent Even after Google decided to take down their own reader services I still am able to count on this app/widget. For all those who complain about not being able to log in with their Google account: scroll down more and look for the Feedly login. To owner: get rid of logging in with Google or put Feedly closer to the top on the services choice selection page in the setup. This will alleviate confusion.

Excellent Widget Had issue with Widget. Developer immediately helped me out, and we got it up and running. Widget looks great and does exactly what you need it to do. Best news widget that I've seen. Besides the clock, it is the most used widget on my phone.

Working great with Feedly I emailed the developer and got an immediate response with instructions on getting Pure News working with Feedly. I didn't notice I could scroll down the settings screen to see the options for Feedly on the list. (Doh!) Works like a charm now! Best news widget on Android.

Great Support Galaxy Nexus i515. I used this app with ADW EX and after a few weeks emailed the dev to ask why it flickered. He quickly replied and helped me get to the bottom of the issue. Not bad, has potential Many items won't open or show actions when tapped. Text in widget cannot be resized, text in internal viewer cannot seem to be resized or zoomed.
