Mega Millions Scanner Lite helps you keep track of all the numbers you play without ever having to check your tickets. Simply use your phone's camera to scan tickets for the Mega Millions lottery or add them to the app manually. Once you've saved your numbers, Mega Millions Scanner Lite will keep track of all of the numbers you play and tell you your expected winnings as soon as lottery results are published.

This is the lite version of the Mega Millions Scanner app. If you like this app, please follow the instructions in the app to upgrade to the paid version. If you upgrade to the paid version, you'll get everything in the lite app, plus:

Works Great on Galaxy S4 Don't know why others have problems with this app but for me it's works great. Lite version let you scan only one number but if you upgrade to full version then you can scan and store all of your numbers... Please watch the video and read the instruction before leaving one star rating...

Room For Improvement + Clear Up Misconception This app is very interesting and has some nice graphical elements, however I have two major issues. 1. It may be due to the fact that I'm using an older phone, however this is the only application that I've come across that uses the camera, yet isn't able to refocus for a clearer picture. I don't know if this was disabled due to false readings or not, but an option to enable this would be greatly appreciated. 2. The mechanics for manually entering the numbers, while graphically appealing, make what should be a simple task into a chore. Instead of having to scroll through every numbered ball, having a text input for each set of numbers would be a vast improvement. Regarding scanning of the barcode, I just want to let people know that the barcode is just an ITF-14 formatted version of the 16 digital code shown directly above the barcode. The only way this code is useful is if you visit a physical location which sells Mega Millions tickets in your state and has a barcode reader machine (which is connected to a central database). Unless Mega Millions releases a public API that allows developers to hook into that database, then it cannot be used.

Come on man I understand you are a 3rd party with no access to the info needed to make the bar code work. So you are stuck with the OCR method. Maybe some states have different fonts? Maybe some tickets are laid out different, either way you need to scratch your scanning method and start over.

Crappy OCR This is a very simple OCR task. It only needs to recognize a 10 character alphabet with a fixed machine readable font on an uncluttered background, and it still only gets about 50% accuracy.

Idea is there, but this app is completely useless. Followed the directions to a "T" when trying to scan numbers off of my Mega Million ticket for the last draw. After half a dozen failed attempts at it getting the numbers correctly, i backed out and decided to enter them manually. I felt this would be a quick and simple manual number input....not the case. You have to select each number by scrolling through the number balls. After all of this, the payouts didn't even read out correctly, being I hit 2 + Mega, app said $10, main lotto site said $11.
