Fantastic app and it's free! Never crashes, ever! Has all the latest articles including HD photos. Also has the option of 'fetching the paper' in the early hours so it will have completed downloading by the time I wake up. Futhermore it does not require the internet after 'fetching the paper' so you can read the whole paper offline.

Excellent application Indispensable for anyone who reads the Grauniad. Not only is the application better than that offered by The Guardian, but the developer responds promptly to comments and problems. Last week The Guardian changed their official domain , affecting the application's connection to some news feeds. The developer has now fixed this, so if you experienced this I heartily recommend you download again and continue to enjoy your offline reading. I'd happily pay if it wasn't free! J.

Since it downloads overnight and doesn't require an internet connection at time of reading it's ideal to catch up on news while on the tube every morning. When you scroll with one hand through the contents, it's very easy to accidentally slide key headings to the right therefore deleting them. 5 stars, but.. The quick font fix can work immediately, after you've started reading, or not at all! In addition, it is possible to query the hardware for a physical menu button and display (or not) the menu bar based on that. Excellent off-line Guardian news app The latest update is very good. I use two guardian apps and I use this when I have poor internet connectivity. The other app I use more is Guardian Lite. I prefer this app over Lite for almost everything including the user interface. However Lite downloads more articles. For example for the tag section technology internet, this app returned 7 articles, Lite returns 16. Therefore I use Lite more. It would be great if the algorithm could be tweaked to get more articles.

Wifi issue Good app but ALWAYS disconnects wifi after downloading the news, meaning that the mobile data link starts and uses data when at home there is no need. Drops internet connection after every update. Seems like a good app, but it is so annoying that it disconnects your Wifi connection after *every* update (on a Nexus 7 tablet). Cannot leave it installed for this reason. Once that issue is fixed, it'll be great.

Excellent Given some of the reviews I would point out that the sole purpose of this app is to enable you to view content when not in range of a data connection which it does admirably. If you are traveling or on the tube this is perfect.
