Works as advertised Good app and does what it claims to do. It even works on Windows Vista by using the Win7 software. I hope the app will support viewing of documents. When it does, it will be the media & file server app.

Works great Tried several similar apps. This one was easy to use since there's a key that connects your phone(s) to your PC. I set up a user and a few media folders and everything worked as soon as I connected to my wifi. I needed to telll my wireless router to allow the port manually but, once that was done, I had no issues accessing the folders and streaming over 4G. The app updates often but the changes are listed in the What's New section and is usually for codecs and is very helpful.

Simply the best! If the server had the ability to download metadata that could be used by the client (posters, plot, etc) then all the competitors (plex, xbmc, mizuu, set) would be very worried. Until then Qloud will just be the Wendy's in a Mcdonalds and Burger King world. As far as the functionality, this app is top notch. easy to setup, streams flawlessly to all my android devices and TV Boxes without a hiccup. Subtitle support is also fantastic though I wish it could show subtitles without transcoding but that's probably not possible. All in all a great app and I hope to see metadata support sometime soon.

Disappointing The app loaded on my phone with NO issues. The Computer side Server Software though hosed my computer. The first time I tried opening the app it froze my computer and I finally shut it off after 8 minutes of watching the hourglass run. I have installed this 3 different times now and it just will NOT work on my computer. I will have to find something else that actually works.

brilliant app Just came over from iphone, and was using air-vdeo, so found this app and it works better than air-video, very easy to use and set-up, can choose the data stream setting for each video so if your connection is not strong you can adjust the streaming output. Found a bug in latest version of server. When pc comes out of sleep mode or I use WOL, the external IP address is the same as internal IP address, so can not connect to pc to stream videos when not at home. I am using server version V3.5.1 as this is the only version that does not change the external IP address, when it comes out of sleep mode. Apart from that the best App, I have on my phone Galaxy S3 LTE.

Perfect After trying other video streaming apps on the Play market this one is hands down the best of them all. Many of the others just didn't feel right or weren't that great compared to Air Video but this app actually surpasses what Air Video can do definitely worth it if you're looking for something like Air Video for streaming anime or other videos over Wifi/4G or anything with custom fonts that need to display correctly.

Simple and straightforward. Open your port and go. Edit: doesn't seem to work anymore. Attempting to add the same server that previously worked now results in unable to connect issues. Does exactly what it says it should and works great. Many options for changing the quality. Simple and straightforward and accomplishes what skifta made overly difficult to do.

top bar how do I get rid of the top bar thing during video playback? It covers up a good amount of screen space. Hope it isn't intentionally there to nag us into buying the premium, I won't even use this app long enough to know if it's any good if that is there. It's like giving people gasoline soaked food, then expecting them to pay to have that gasoline removed. They'd just move on to the next of the lot of apps that do this same thing.

Works great. Wonderful features. Functionally, this app does everything i need for it to do and it does it well: transcoding and straight-thru playback, adjustable vid quailty based on local network, remote wifi, or mobile data, subtitle support, ac3 volume boost, folder view, smooth playback with minimal buffering, ability to skip in the middle of the video with no problems, search function, and easy to configure server program. The main area that could use improvement is mainly the browsing interface. The interface is attractive and easy to use, but there is no customization options for browsing. Only plain list view is available when browsing through files. Also, it would be cool if it is able to show the show or movie poster for the icons using folder.jpg in the directory and if it was able to pull tv show/movie details from an online database. Also, there are no skin options; you are stuck with a single layout and color scheme. Also, occasionally, i get some sound sync issues, which can be solved by either replaying the video again or turning on or off Compatibility mode. So for these reasons, I dock it one star even though I absolutely love how it performs and all the features i've mentioned.

Updates require more testing before release I loved this app when I installed it a few months ago, it worked like a charm. Now after latest updates some of my videos won't work, or have playback problems (stuttering during 'karaoke' subtitles, bad display of styled subtitles).

Finally a media sever that woks I come from ios where you have Air Video to which is the standard of media server in my opinion. It worked "right out of the box." I just changed to the S3 and loving it. I travel and hotel cable stinks. I use my own media server and watch what I want to. I have tried most of the other Android apps but nothing worked till Qloud. It worked "right out of the box". It works on wifi and LTE. The test will come when I am back on the road and in Europe. I am going to the Note 2 and assuming that it will work flawlessly on that device. Keep up the good work and update often to make it better.Thank you PS. I did upgrade.!!!!!!

Great when it works I've been using this app for several months now. It's amazing most of the time, but do an update or change anything and suddenly you can't reach the server, it may work suddenly days later for no apparent reason though. Would be 5 stars if not for this annoyance, plays everything even on slower connections.

Configuration for outside the network could be easier (they could provide more detailed troubleshooting steps). But you just can't complain on how well this runs inside the network. Updated: now fixed but still not better Photos now show up properly again, but streaming speed and quality are not as good as previous versions. Stops, stutters, buffers a lot when it didn't before. [I have now downgraded back to 2.6.10 client and 2.6.6 server. So much better. Sorry to have to say that.]

Outstanding App I use Qloud Media Player to stream my movie library off my Gaming PC at home. It's perfect because my movie library is several terabytes, and there are some MKV files which are too big by themselves to fit on my phone. Now I can carry my whole movie and TV show library with me everywhere I go, and the quality is great, even on HDMI out. Please add an auto option to your video streaming bandwidth option which will auto adjust like the Netflix app. Thank you very much!

No support at all if you have problems The app is cool and polished and all but it doesn't work for me. Nothing but static in place of normal audio tracks or while watching a video. does exactly what it says! I just tested it with a pretty big sized movie and it started right away and there was no buffering at all! I want to point out incase anyone else runs into this: after you set up the qloud server on your computer, if it says it cannot connect after you're done typing in the pin click save anyway and your shared files should show up. IDK why it said it can't connect. When I got that message I clicked cancel and tried it again a few times but when I decided to go ahead and click save it ended up working. I am dying to find out if there's a way to view ebooks remotely from my computer the way this works with music and videos. If anyone knows of a way plz let me know!!! Update: I added a music folder and none of the songs are showing up! All of my videos do but songs do not. BTW if you have a cheper, slower phone, chances are it won't work very good for videos. But with my tablet I have no probs with videos lagging or buffering at all. Also- If you have divx files that don't show up you can rename them on your computer to avi and they'll show up without compromising the video in anyway.

Serious Potential Here... On a whim I tried this app (I currently use Skiftaapp/server and Dice Player/MX Player) and I have to say: I'm really impressed...really impressed. The amount of configuration on both sides is amazing--and the ease of use ties it with Skifta. I haven't tried remotely accessing my media server yet but, I'm positive it'll be fine after seeing what LAN playback can do. I'm still tinkering with this but, to all Nexus 7 owners: this is definitely an app worth looking into.

Finally! Very well done! I have been trying to get a video streaming setup for about a year now. I have gone through other setups such as Skifta, Plex and Subsonic. All of them had something that absolutely ruined the setup. This is the first one that I have found that nails it. The server component on your PC is not a resource hog and not overly complex. The app is very intuitive, easy to setup and actually works. It's not perfect (I have had it get hung up once) but it is by far the best solution on Android now. Skifta doesn't work half the time, Plex's server piece is a resource hog and crashes, Subsonic relies on a flash enabled browser (Chrome is out due to that).

AirVideo for Android!! I loved AirVideo on iPhone so when I joined the darkside and went to Android it was one of the first apps I looked for only to be disappointed that they didn't have an Android version. I looked for something similar but nothing. I ended up buying Plex. Doing some googling last night I stumbled upon an app called Qloud and gave it a try. It's awesome. If you loved AirVideo for iPhone you'll love Qloud for Android. It's basically the same. Love how it lets you change bitrate on the fly. For video..I'm loving Qloud. Music on the other hand..don't care how if I have a folder with say 1000 tracks, it separates it in chunks of 100. Maybe I'm just not used to it yet. Also, there's no support for HE-AAC bitrates. AirVideo lets you select bitrates as low as 32kbps HE-AAC and it actually sounds good! Saves a lot of bandwidth if you're on an "unlimited" limited plan like I am.

Sweet streaming app Just got my Droid Razr Maxx, tried to get the MotoCast to work but spent more time trying to figure out why it wouldn't stream videos. Better than Plex? Still testing, however it starts the videos quicker than my plex server and supports more video formats. It even plays ripped dvd's! Plex would choke and crash,which it has been doing quite a bit of latley. Wish I woud have found this before I paid for Plex. Will give 5 stars after more testing and purchase.

Works Great Haven't tried over 3g yet, but will be doing so shortly. Works amazing over WiFi though. Allows you to jump around in the movie without it taking long to rebuffer. I would be willing to bet all the 1-2 star reviews are people that update the app and not the server software, even though it says right on the app it requires the same version server software as the app.

I'm surprised! At how good this is! The streaming quality is adjustable! The playback is great! I can do it over 3G (make sure you set up port-forwarding if you have a router)! You know what would be sick as a feature? on the fly bandwidth selection. or auto adjustment during video playback! I'm totally buying this.

Great streaming app but ... This app works almost flawlessly on my gnex but after maybe 10 min of streaming the A/V offset starts to fall out of sync by a few ms... so the audio lags behind the video. It needs a function to adjust av offset. Stopping and restarting the video fixes the problem temporarily.

perfect plays all file formats and a few not officially supported. good video quality and options. user interface is easy but not as 'pretty' as plex. plex wasnt playing all my files, no such problems with qloud.
