This is a standalone Bitcoin Wallet for your Android device. Bitcoin is an internet currency.

You can send Bitcoin between phones just by scanning the QR code that is displayed by the app. Or via NFC (Near Field Communication).

This is the version for real (Prodnet) Bitcoins. If you just want to try with worthless Testnet Bitcoins, I'd recommend the separate app (see "more from developer").

FEATURES:

• Display of wallet balance in Bitcoin and various other currencies
• Sending and receiving of Bitcoin via NFC, QR-codes or Bitcoin URLs
• Support for millibitcent and smaller values (0.0001)
• Address book for regularly used Bitcoin addresses
• Enter transactions while offline, will be executed when online
• System notifications for Bitcoin connectivity and received coins
• App widget for Bitcoin balance (requirement: app moved to phone)

KNOWN ISSUES, PLEASE READ:
• When run for the first time, it can happen that the app shows only a white display for some seconds. This is normal.
• Sometimes you will get system notifications about the same incoming Bitcoins multiple times. You still get the coins only once.

Security limitations, missing features it's missing the ability to generate new receive addrs and add friends to address book without sending money first. Also no landscape view. Works tho.

well made I have not run in to any issues with my HTC EVO 4G. I have been able to send and recieve bitcoins flawlessly.

Doesn't work at all for me, HTC Hero with 2.1. 14 Mb also is a bit big, I have an older Android phone that doesn't allow for app storage on the SD.

This is not ready for prime time. No block checkpoints. No version restriction for connecting peers. Use at your own risk. Doesn't always exit.

Have not thoroughly tested but it seems to work fine. Needs an "exit" button to easily stop it from running. Can use lots of battery power if left on.

Excellent This app is still a bit buggy, but far more feature-packed than the other client. They work similarly, but due to the increased polish of this app, I'm more comfortable using it.

Its an awesome app that I hope makes it to the actual bitcoins market. Have no ploblems at all, no FC, no nothing. Working flawless on Original Droid.
