I'd love to do that too, but volume is a function of your audio equipment (i.e. television set), and the only way to do control such a device is via infrared signals. I don't know of any Android devices which natively support infrared, meaning there would need to be some kind of extra hardware support, not something I'm currently planning on doing.

SETUP
-----------
Setup is simple if you are connected to Wi-Fi. Just press the Menu key and choose "Select Receiver". Your receivers will be automatically detected and displayed in a list.
High definition receivers without DVRs (models H21, H23, and H24) will need to be manually added the first time, or whenever the IP address for the receiver changes. High definition receivers with DVRs (models HR20, HR21, HR23, and HR24) should be automatically detected if they are correctly connected to the same home network.
If your receivers are not detected, you can manually enter the IP addresses and add them to the list.

--FOR ADVANCED USERS ONLY--
If you would like to use over 3G or 4G, you must forward port 8080 to your DIRECTV receiver, and manually add your public IP address as a receiver. For now, only one receiver can be accessed via this method.

Requires DIRECTV PLUS HD DVR (models HR20, HR21, HR22, HR23, HR24 and H21, H23, H24) connected to a home network.

This app will NOT let you watch your recordings on your android device. That would require reverse-engineering DIRECTV's DRM, and would likely be found to be in violation of the DMCA.

Mafia Alarm is easy to use, just point and click set a timetable. At the stroke time expires, the mafia start talking! To disable the alarm, click Stop Alarm, you will have a test (just to be sure you are awake) and then the alarm will stop stressing out!

* You can set the delay time (3 to 15 minutes), in case you want to sleep a few more minutes.
* The time set is available at any time by notification bar.
* Since version 2 have been added "to the oaths of the mafia" during the alarm settings. :-)

As it sounds simple, I found the application being very usefull with our  friends, while deciding who's going to get the lunch to the bar on the other side of the street today, or while
argueing with my partner who will cook today, and who have to wash the dishes after (as we both love to cook:). The possibilities are endless, as You can take photos of everything You can't make Your mind on (get to work by bike, or take a bus?). The Answers for questions like this, can often be a great motivation for self-development, or even be crucial to Your future life and health!

The application itself is also provided with the database of funny, pre-Categorised pictures draw sets, that we may find hepfull during our daily life.
Photo Flip also gives the user function of saving their own picture draw set in the separate "Saved" cattegory, so later re-use is possible.

To give the user access to the photos they took before, using their Camera, Gallery button was created. Thanks to it we can choose 2 pictures from the SD Card, and for example make a draw, "Who should I call for a party tonight?", while selecting pictures of 2 long time not seen friends, why don't hook up tonight?:)

The possibilities are endless.
