Don't know how true some of these are, but I don't think that's the point. Isn't it really handy to have something witty to say when the conversation is dragging? A palindrome is a word, phrase, verse, or sentence that reads the same backward or forward. Taking a normal word like "browse" and typing "browse swobr" doesn't count because it doesn't make any sense. It has to be a valid sentence to be a true palindrome.
