The Ten Gladiators (1960): During Emperor Nero's reign of terror, a group of formerly loyal gladiators decides to unite to oppose the tyrant. Their disloyalty brings to the group their capture by Nero's forces and their imprisonment. The ten warriors are sentenced to fight in the arena for the enjoyment of the mad emperor, so they must find a way to escape their prison to avoid a gruesome fate.

Romulus and the Sabines (1961): In the retelling of the classic story from early Rome, the men of Rome are despondent since there are no women in the newly founded city. Romulus, founder of Rome and leader of the people, looks to appease the men by finding them wives. Seeing the nearby land of Sabinia has many women, Romulus leads his men to raid their neighbors and take their women, causing the Sabine men to attack Rome for the return of their wives and daughters.
