Howard picks up a pretty, yet quirky vagabond woman in the desert.  She tricks him into taking her to her shack where she breaks his leg with the blunt end of an axe!   After that it's very comparable to Stephen King's Misery.  In fact, the story is so similar one might wonder if this was King's original inspiration.  This is a great movie for what it is, with outstanding performances by all.  Bedelia, who went on to play Bruce Willis' wife in the Die Hard movies, is wonderful as the burlap-dressed psycho sweetie whom Howard knows is dangerous yet finds irresistible.  The scene where Bedelia is pumping up a tire in her bikini underwear is a gem.  There are some wonderful exchanges between her and Howard.  Zerbe is great as the psycho motorcycle dude who comes calling.  Probably the best psycho horror film we've seen since The Sadist.  Our highest recommendation....more at www.eztakes.com. Perversely delightful, often hilarious, and downright horrifying.  Chaney is the household master of an eerie mansion full of regressive psychos.  A tasty blend of pure horror and black comedy that has rarely been topped.  Although he was probably hitting the sauce pretty hard during this period, Lon really gives it his best.  The result is an unforgettable cult classic.  Truly one of the best films in the Sinister Cinema catalog....more at www.eztakes.com. A weird fantasy from French director, Rene Clair.  A dapper aristocrat falls into despair when his fiancee breaks off with him.  She's being forced to wed a shady publisher who is blackmailing her father.  Mired in depression, her ex goes to the fabulous "Moulin Rouge" where he meets the strange Dr. Renault, who takes him to his manor and conducts a weird experiment in which his spirit is freed from its body.  Joyful in his release from reality, he refuses to re-enter his body.  He soars through Paris, causing ghostly mischief. This is perhaps the most visually beautiful horror film ever made.  The setting is a 19th century castle.  Lee is a sadistic nobleman who whips the wife of his brother.  Chris is later found dead, but his ghost comes back to haunt the castle.  A top-notch Italian horror thriller. Two slick investigators come to the Philippines to protect a scientist who has developed a fantastic power beam that can annihilate targets from 300 miles away!  The mysterious "Golden Dragon," along with a bevy of machine gun and whip wielding babes, try to steal the power beam for their own evil purposes.  There s a cool ancient torture chamber-run by the Golden Dragon's wayward beauties-that Tony and Brad end up trapped in!  Lots of great action scenes and an occasional dash of real humor.  The film also has a sinister oriental flavor.  A great  60s spy/sci-fi movie.  Wow!
