Out of all the Asian arowanas, this photo album focuses on the "gold crossback" variety, characterized by its full-bodied golden coloring (81 pictures total). Compared to other varieties, the gold crossback arowana tends to be much smaller. It is especially praised for its golden coloring reaching all the way up to its back. The gold crossback arowana is native to the Bukit Merah Lake, Peninsular Malaysia. Together with the super red, it's one of the more popular arowana varieties.

During the course of WWII, 22,000 of these planes were manufactured. Among them, the Spitfire Mk.IX—designed to combat the formidable Luftwaffe Focke-Wulf Fw 190 with its enhanced engine efficiency-became the main mid-WWII weapon of the British army.

Presenting a photo album of the famous World War II fighter aircraft, the "Zero". Out of over 10,400 Zero airplanes produced, the Sakae Model 21 engines remain some of the rarest and most valuable in the world. In June of 1944 a Sakae Zero Model 52 (No. 61-120) was captured by American forces in Saipan and transported to the United States, where it was subjected to thorough flight examinations. After the war, the plane was sold off to and reconstructed by the "Planes of Fame" Aircraft Museum in Chino, California, where it remains to this day.

Presenting a photo album of the be-all and end-all fighter plane, the Bf109 series Messerschmitt, of which over 30,000 units were manufactured by the German military. Nicknamed "The Lancer of the Skies," the Bf109 Messerschmitt was a high-speed, Dive and Zoom machine that swept over wartime Europe. During the early days of WWII the E-model versions of the plane became the backbone of the German air force. In fact, the famed "White 14" (No. 3579)-a plane used by Captain Hans-Joachim Marseille during the 1940 summer Blitz-was a Bf109E Messerschmitt. Marseille, aka the "Star of Africa," is recognized for shooting down 158 enemy planes during the course of the war.
