Follow these steps to set up your voice:
1) Install and run this app once;
2) Install free IVONA Text-to-Speech HQ;
3) Go to Android Settings -> Voice Input & Output -> Text-to-Speech settings, activate IVONA Text-to-Speech HQ at the bottom of the screen, then select IVONA Text-to-Speech HQ as the Default Engine.

Mytouch 4g When Amy and American voice installed it confuses Google Navig. One direction in Brit English and the next in Am English. Could be louder.

Issues. Good voice. Could be better, but better than anything I have come accross. Problems: she can hardly pronounce any street names correctly. Yesterday she gave me north bound directions but kept saying continue south when the google map app and I were going north... Google map voice always says first direction and then Ivona voice finally takes over, but with constant interuptions from google map voice.

sloooooooow download Every time I try to download the voice file it takes ages and then fails with a network error. If you can't provide infrastructure to support the demand then don't offer the product. Waste of time!

Excellent voice, but please add male voices too Excellent voice, one of my favorites even on PC. For UK English this voice is great. But please add some male voices too. For instance, I heard the samples of the new Italian voices and the man sounds much more natural. Hope you will offer it on Android too.

Thanks for the update What a fantastic improvement, I'll definitely be using the my phones navigation now. I've set the speed to slow but that's my personal preference. Amy is so clear & natural, fingers crossed the quality will be the same in the future releases.

Amazing! The best TTS on Android!! A few minor bugs: The word "treeline" is spoken as "trline", and "mmm" is spoken as "em-em-em". The latest update also seems to be a bit more memory intensive than the last version, some stuttering occurs on my Thunderbolt when using Moon Reader and Navigator at the same time. Other than those minor issues, this is an excellent product!!!

A under rated app. This should be included in Android by default. The voice quality is clear, loud and does not sound synthetic. Is this really a machine talking? Because one if my friends wo didn't know I had yhis installed, mistaken the voice as a real person talking.

Download a bit slow Download is slow (250MB for just UK-English!) but the resulting voice is very, very good. Highly recommended!

But you guys need to have a better Navigation AI. like using Dr. or Blvd. or St. Your Ivona speaks it as Dee-R not Drive Also need to do what Loquendo does with Emoticon. Happy face should make Ivon speak in a happier tone. LOL should make her "laugh" instead of speaking L-O-L. Otherwise this pretty nice

Absolutely amazing voice quality, but memory prob I found the quality of the voice absolutely amazing. You can easily and comfortably listen to texts. But to put 30 MB on internal memory and no way to put it on SD? That's madness, considering the small internal memory of many devices (I have 200MB)! Please rework this!

Demos sound good, but... Tried British English Amy on the online demo however when it came to installing on the HTC Legend, there was insufficient internal storage for the voice data files. Would be useful if it could be installed to SD card.
