Healthy, happy, and hopeful. Isn’t that what we all want for our kids? Kids Activities provides hundreds of healthy physical activities for kids of all ages to enjoy!

Based on The Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH) PE Program that is incorporated into many elementary and middle schools throughout the country, this app provides the activities that have been proven to improve physical activity and overall fitness. Research suggests that increased exposure to these activities will further support positive long-term results. NOTE: The app currently has K-6 to K-8 (middle school) CATCH PE content.

So parents and coaches, it’s up to you to get your kids on the right track and Kids Activities is here to help.

Organized into sport categories, provided plans keep kids active and engaged while teaching them a wide range of skills. Scroll through these two-week long plans or browse daily lessons and activities to pick the perfect one for the day. Maybe you feel like doing something new? Simply create your own lesson. If it becomes your child’s or team’s favorite, star it to come back to again later. Why not even share it over Facebook so friends or teammate’s parents can see what your kids are up to!

The main features of this app include:

Healthy Content: Plans, lessons, and activities from the CATCH PE Program with descriptions and demonstration videos.

Happy Kids: “Favorites” tab that keeps track of your child’s or team’s favorite activities and lessons along with the ability to rate a lesson or activity to remember its impact.

Hopeful Results: Flexibility to create your own lesson for your kids or team, and directly share activities with friends and family via email, Facebook, or Twitter that your kids are loving!

FOViewer is a handy astronomy tool for every stargazer. It allows you to calculate things like the magnification of your particular telescope and eyepiece combination. FOViewer will also show your field of view superimposed on astrophotos of well-known objects. That way you can get a good prediction of which eyepieces to use to optimally view your celestial targets. You can add your own equipment to FOViewer to get spot-on predictions for your telescope / eyepiece combinations. If a particular telescope / eyepiece combination results in a magnification that goes beyond the maximum useful magnification of your telescope, then FOViewer will notify you by giving the magnification a red background and showing an alert.

Apart from the magnification, the field of view and the F ratio of your telescope, FOViewer will show you the local time, your GPS coordinates and a compass to help you get that GOTO telescope properly aligned!

So to summarize, FOViewer;

• Calculates the magnification, F ratio and field of view for a particular telescope / eyepiece combination.
• Alerts you when your magnifications goes beyond the maximum useful magnification of your telescope.
• Shows you your field of view as a circle drawn on photos of well-known celestial objects. Objects for both hemisphere’s are available.
• Let’s you add and remove your own telescopes, eyepieces and barlow lenses.
• Shows your local time to help you configure your GOTO telescope.
• Shows your current GPS position.
• Shows you where magnetic north is by means of a small compass.

A few pointers on using FOViewer.
• Tap the plus icons to add your own equipment.
• Tap the minus icons to remove equipment from the lists.
• Tap the preview images to cycle through objects.
• Frequently calibrate your build-in electronic compass by drawing figure 8’s in the air.
