View a different work of art every day. The works are by great artists such as Rembrandt, Michelangelo and Caravaggio. All works refer to a biblical subject - the old texts have proven to be an inspiration for many masters.

The app provides basic information on every featured work of art. Tap the image to view a larger version. Buttons enable easy sharing on Facebook or Twitter. Another button gives direct access to the full, online version of the painting and to the full description.

"60 spørsmål og svar om Islam" ble første gangen utgitt i 2005 av Islamic Cultural Centre Norway (ICC) som et hefte. Dette heftet kan fås gratis hos ICC.

ICC håper med dette å bidra til økt kunnskap blant unge muslimer og ikke-muslimer som ønsker en rask innføring i grunnleggende spørsmål om islam. islam. Denne appen kan også være til hjelp for de som skriver skoleoppgaver om islam. Og ikke minst journalister som ofte trenger fakta fra autentiske kilder.

Svarene vil alltid ha potensial for forbedring, men denne gangen har vi valgt grunnleggende spørsmål, men vi håper (inshaAllah) å ta for oss viderekommende spørsmål og utdypende svar neste gang. På enkelte spørsmål kan leserne merke at det er korte svar. Selv om vi skulle ønske at vi kunne gi litt mer utdypende svar, så har ikke dette vært mulig på grunn av omfanget og detaljnivået på svarene. På nesten hvert enkelt spørsmål, kan man skrive lange detaljerte utredninger for å gi utdypende svar. Men vi har valgt å være kort og presis.


ICC takker hele arbeidsgruppen for å ha jobbet med dette og Danial Sheikh for app-utvikling.
