Media like gossip magazines, TV soap drama, radio programmes, fictions and movies have been re-defining what love is so as to maximize audience rating.  They continue to refresh the content, expression and templates of love to maintain the marketing momentum on audiences.
The youth, being brain-washing for such a long time, have formulated the perspective of love that meets their expectation and aspiration; some adults are suddenly “enlightened” and query their belief on love, as such they are eager to meet their “second or even third Spring”.
Overall, the contemporary view of love has the following elements:
1. Immediate and fast – get coupled in the shortest possible of time, ignoring mutual understanding
2. Feel of love a must – get separated if there is no “feel” of love or await until the feel is over
3. Materialistic – the dating involves mostly dining and merchandising where the amount spent determines the depth of love
4. Discriminate the single – single women over, say, 30 are labeled as “leftover”, there must be some insufficiencies of her being single
5. Lust oriented – “one night stand” is the most recommended template for dating: no responsibility, a new face for every date and not get bored easily
6. Be the master – tame others to follow orders and force them to accept self deficiencies
